Tasso in Music Project
We are very pleased to announce that Palma Choralis directors Marcello Mazzetti and Livio Ticli have been awarded by Worldwide University Network (WUN) for staying at UMass Amherst, MA (USA) in March-April 2016.
As Visiting scholars from the University of Southampton (UK), they will join the Tasso in Music Project team headed by Prof Emiliano Ricciardi, an international-leading research project across Humanities involving scholars from the USA and Europe with the technical support of Stanford University, and focussing on ultimate editorial methods and digital encoding techniques in music.
Further, they will participate in the Italian Madrigal Festival as delegates, presenting a brief recital/paper entitled “What can Luzzasco and Fiorino teach us? Experiencing the madrigal then and now” [...] Read more. As singers-players specialised in this repertoire, they will also give concerts joining local ensembles such as Five College Early Music Collegium (Apr 16, 2016) and Illuminati Ensemble (Apr 17, 2016).
In addition, they have been awarded a Visiting Fellowship at The Massachusetts Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies (MCIRS), giving lectures and bringing some results of the research they are carrying out at the University of Southampton (UK).
